Iraqi Shi’ite militia Hashd al-Shaabi has revealed that a spokesperson for the ISIS has been killed in Anbar province, west of Iraq.
Spokesperson for Hashd al-Shaabi, Karim al-Nouri, told Iraqi media on Thursday that the ISIS spokesperson, Abu Muhammad Adnani, was killed during a military operation conducted by the Iraqi security forces.
The operation took place near Hadisah district of Anbar province.
Iraqi operations commander previously declared that four ISIS commanders, including the ISIS minister of defence, had been killed in the same location.
Iraqi army has recently scored significant victories against the ISIS terrorists in Ramadi and surrounding areas in Anbar. With the areal support from the international coalition forces, the Iraqi army succeeded to drive ISIS militants out of Ramadi last month.
